The ideal bond is masonry to masonry to parge smoke chambers, firebox repairs and more! It is a premixed air and heat setting mortar which withstands temperatures up to 3000 degree F and resists freezing up to 0 degree F. The yellow lid Parging contains a grit substance while the black lid Troweling does not. Coverage is approximately 4-6 square feet per gallon at 1/8 inch to 1/4 inch thickness. Not recommended for applications thicker than 1/4 inch.
