FireGuard Ceramic Resurfacing & Repair System

FireGuard Ceramic Resurfacing & Repair System

Product Information

  • SPECIFICATIONS - FireGuard’s temperature rating, 3,205° F, is the
highest rating in the industry. The FireGuard system is the only
resurfacing system that employs pinpoint vibration, maximizing the
resurfacing, penetration and bonding properties of the ceramic coating.
  • SAFETY - The FireGuard system exceeds all I.R.C. and N.F.P.A. 211
    requirements for residential applications.
  • PERFORMANCE - The FireGuard process does not appreciably
decrease the area of the original flue; consequently, the performance of
the fireplace or appliance will not change.
  • CONVENIENCE - The FireGuard process is usually completed in a day.
Demolition of the clay tiles, often required with steel liner installs, is not
necessary with FireGuard. This eliminates much of the potential for a
mess and damage in your home.

Product Description

  • The patented FireGuard ceramic system is certified, listed and labeled
by Guardian Fire Testing Laboratory, Inc. (ISO 17025) as a repair system
for damaged or defective clay flue liners. The FireGuard system is the
only certified, ceramic resurfacing and joint repair system employing
pinpoint vibration. The vibration unit promotes maximum penetration
of tight joints and fractures while ensuring a consistently smooth, even
    finish.
  • The FireGuard temperature rating, 3,205° F, is the highest rating in the
industry. The unique chemical and physical properties of the pure
ceramic material form a surface that effectively resists extreme heat,
acids and water. When properly installed, FireGuard will solidly fill all
gaps and fractures in the clay liners, virtually eliminating the possibility
of heat transfer or the seepage of dangerous gasses

How FireGuard Works

  • Step 1 -- A closed-cell custom foam applicator with an internal vibration unit is
inserted from the top of the flue and winched down to the base of the flue.
  • Step 2 -- As the applicator is pulled back up the chimney, the vibration action
combined with the applicator shape ensures a smooth, even distribution
of the ceramic coating on all sides of the flue. Gaps and fractures will be
    filled solid.
