Delivery Driver

New England Chimney Supply (NECS) is a leading manufacturing company specializing in chimney venting systems. With over 14 years of experience, we take pride in providing high-quality products and exceptional customer service to our clients. We are currently looking for a Full Time Delivery Driver to join our team!

 

Your Primary function in the role will be as a Delivery Driver, with a 4 day a week work schedule (10+ hours per day); however secondary duties may include pulling orders, loading trucks, and basic customer service. Delivery Drivers will be required to do overnight stays as necessary.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Delivering products to all New England states & parts of New York state.
  • Unloading products off the delivery truck at customer locations.
  • Interacting with customers with the understanding that each customer has different requirements.
  • Completing company paperwork in a timely and accurate fashion.
  • Abiding by all traffic rules and regulations.
  • Ensuring that trucks follow all DOT regulations including logbooks (CDL not required).
SKILLS
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow.
  • Prior experience in delivery.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Empathetic and personable, with the ability to connect with customers.
  • Confident and able to handle challenges in a calm and timely manner.
  • Punctual and reliable, consistently arriving early and ready to start the day promptly at 7:30 am.
  • Able to take feedback and constructive criticism positively.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multitask.
  • Demonstrates goal-setting abilities and a proactive attitude towards achieving personal and professional improvement.
  • Ability to follow procedures, guidelines, and policies with extreme precision.

Requirements
  • Must have valid license and clean driving record
  • Must be able to pass DOT physical
  • Willing to undergo Background Check
  • Forklift experience a plus
  • Prior warehouse experience is a plus
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
