We are a growing manufacturing company of chimney venting systems looking for people who share the same passion as us and have fun doing it! NECS is in our 13th year of business, and we have recently expanded our facility and locations.

We help our customers create a parts list for their custom job, process their order, manufacture it in-house, ship and deliver it to them and/or their job site, on our very own NECS delivery trucks!!!

Job Outline

Role & Responsibilities

Department Leadership & Oversight

  • Manage monthly analysis and accruals for inventory, HR, sales and marketing, R&D.
  • Maintain fixed asset, debt, lease, insurance sub-ledgers.
  • Produce weekly transactional activity and accuracy reports from NetSuite.
  • Direct the daily transactional activities to ‘load balance’ our billing, receivables and payables work levels.

Monthly Financial and Accounting Cycle

  • Manage the financial reporting and accounting close calendar both for the function and the Company.
  • Coordinate monthly and annual close activities and reviews with Department Heads.
  • Produce weekly ‘control’ and main working capital reports.
  • Develop accounting scorecard for key control indicators, efficiency and accuracy ratings.
  • Maintain and promoting integrity of the G/L chart of accounts.

Control and Risk Management Framework

  • Develop and implement recommendations to standardize and improve accounting policies, processes and procedures.
  • Maintain a documented system for accounting policies and procedures and relevant financial documents.
  • Manage the external bank, insurance, audit and tax processes and relationships.
  • Design and implement company positive assurance process.

Cash / Treasury Management

  • Reconcile bank accounts. Ensuring consistent cash reporting.
  • Enhance our credit terms with vendors and ratings with credit agencies

Cost Accounting and Financial Partner to Operations

  • Driving cost accounting policies and procedure within the Company to improve efficacy of profitable decision-making.
  • Overseeing costing standards including scrap and monthly physical count procedures
  • Assisting Operations in the budget preparation (CapEx, Maintenance & Repairs), variance reporting and corrective actions for Senior Management.

  • Proficient Demonstrated computer skills (Microsoft Office, Google applications and accounting software, preferably NetSuite)

Requirements
  • 5+ years accounting experience with some supervisory experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required.
  • Prior experience with Oracle NetSuite or similar ERP system preferred.
