We are currently seeking a positive, self-motivated individual to join our Accounting team.

Job Outline

Role & Responsibilities
  • Audit daily shipping documentation and sales orders to confirm accuracy and completeness prior to billing customers.
  • Collaborate with customers, customer service and accounting team members to resolve billing issues. Create and process customer credits as necessary.
  • Manage check deposits and apply the payments to customer invoices.
  • Reconcile and post freight bills.
  • Process customer credit applications and maintain related forms.
  • Set up new customers and update customer accounts in ERP system.
  • Create, maintain, and promote accounting and documentation policies and procedures to pro-actively ensure compliance.
  • Complete record retention duties (filing, scanning, document purging).
  • Responsible for daily triage of accounting department email, processing mail, scan and organize documents as required.
  • Participate in weekly team meetings.
  • Support Accounting and Leadership team and backup other accounting department functions as needed.
SKILLS
  • Excellent written and oral communication as well as organizational skills.
  • Deadline driven with demonstrated time management skills.
  • Team-player with a high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Working knowledge of basic accounting principles, policies, and practices.
  • Ability to follow policies and procedures with extreme accuracy.
  • Demonstrated computer skills (Microsoft Office, Google applications and accounting software)

Requirements
  • High School degree
  • Prior accounting / office experience
  • Experience with Oracle NetSuite or similar ERP system preferred
